About LISTEN TO ME: In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors—and into her heart. Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim 1/5 of the credit. She’s determined to make it a success and can’t think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she’s in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him—his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school—he’s all bad boy...exactly her type and exactly what she doesn’t need. Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what’s always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed. Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake’s past finally catches up with him. Will Addie be torn apart once again or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?   Image Map Author Pic - Kristen ProbyAbout Kristen Proby: New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Kristen Proby is the author of the popular With Me in Seattle series. CHANCE OF A LIFETIME
Anderson Brothers #3
Marissa Clarke
Releasing November 16th, 2015
Entangled: Lovestruck

Sometimes the biggest risk is playing it safe…

Gen Richards is tired of living down to her family’s expectation of the helpless blind girl. Resurrecting her high-school bucket list that begins with “kiss a total stranger” seems just the thing until she finds herself in a panty-melting lip lock with her big brother’s best friend.

Chance Anderson thrives on adrenaline, but Genny’s the one risk he’s not willing to take. His recklessness a decade ago landed her in the hospital and ejected him from her life. He’s bad for her and everyone knows it—especially her big brother.

Chance reluctantly helps Gen complete her bucket list in order to keep her out of trouble. Running through a freezing fountain, playing Spin the Bottle while fending off a mad horde of stinging insects, and skinny dipping with homicidal attack swans don’t hold a candle to the real danger: falling for the one person he can never have.

Laura's Review:

This is one of those tug-on-the-heartstrings romances that just feels good to read. Both Gen and Chance are good people who you just want to root for.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about one of the main characters having such a significant disability, but it's clear from the beginning the Gen doesn't want people to view her as anything less than whole, and I quickly stopped defining her by it as well.
I haven't read the first two books in this series, but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything major. This book definitely makes me want to go back and get the full story of all the brothers!

Chance of a Lifetime: 4/5 stars

Dual Review: His Kind Of Trouble by Terri L. Austin

His Kind of Trouble
(Beauty and the Brit, #2)
Terri L. Austin
Sourcebooks Casablanca
November 3, 2015

Synopsis:
Monica Campbell may have a history as a wild child, but she’s changed her ways. She’s responsible, and most importantly, she’s sworn off bad boys. That is, until filthy rich Cal Hughes shows up with his sexy British accent and killer smile.

Cal remembers every steamy moment he shared with Monica years ago, but he barely recognizes the straight-laced woman she has become. Determined to lure her into dropping the prim and proper act, Cal uses every trick he knows to remind her of who she used to be back when she was his.

Tanya's Review:

If there is anything sexier than a bad boy it's a bad boy with an English accent. This book was an enjoyable fast read with a sexy Brit and a woman who thinks she needs to be perfect. We first met Monica in book 1 of the series, His Every Need, and she was a troubled teen whose mother had just died and she was lost and rebelling. Book 2 picks up a few years later and she has changed, a lot. She is struggling to be someone she thinks everyone wants her to be and she is just miserable. Enter the sexy brit Cal. Cal remembers the sexy, free spirit Monica used to be and is determined to bring her back. I enjoyed watching the banter between these 2 characters. The struggle Monica had to make her family proud, to break free from her sisters shadow and the need she felt to make up for her wild lost teen years was something I think a lot of readers could relate too.
Even though this is book 2 of the series, the reader does not have to read the first to enjoy this book. Characters from book 1 do appear in this one and you would get a little more background but it is not necessary. I would recommend reading book 1 just because I really liked book 1 and I have a thing about reading a series in order, but that is just me.
Overall a sexy easy read, if you like those sexy bad boys with an accent, and really who doesn't, this is a great read for you.

His Kind Of Trouble:    3.5/5  stars

Laura's Review:

I completely agree with Tanya - there's not much sexier than a bad boy with a British accent. Cal was completely swoon-worthy right from the start, but Monica took a little warming up to. She was trying too hard and it made her unlikable (even if it was very relatable)- and I found myself disliking her uber-controlling sister, as well, if not more. Of course, that just made me want to read more hoping Monica would stand up for herself (spoiler alert: she did!) I did not read the first book in the series, so I was missing that bit of background that I do think would have been helpful to understand the characters' motivation and make me commiserate more. I did warm up to both of them as the book progressed and Monica found her spirit and gumption to stand up for herself and her sister softened a bit to that. Overall, a sexy, entertaining read with great character chemistry. I'll be sure to pick up the first one so I can see how it all started!

Oh, and a quick nod of approval to the cover designer - it captured sexy Cal perfectly!

His Kind of Trouble: 3.5/5 stars

EXCERPT: He reached out and shut the medical file in front of him and leaned back in his chair. His eyebrows arched up, and he laced his fingers together and put his index fingers under his chin. “What exactly are you after, Mr. Voss?” His voice was smooth and modulated. I was a disaster, a bundle of nerves and anxiety, and this dude was acting like we were talking about the weather, not my entire life and everything I had ever worked my ass off for. Defiantly I spread my legs apart and slumped back in the chair across from him, making it a point to affect a posture that was as casual as his was professional. I had on a faded DPD T-shirt and a pair of jeans with a hole in the knee, and both were a little baggy since I’d lost some of my bulk being laid up in the hospital after the accident. If the guy across from me was a cherry-red Ferrari, then I was a rusted-out and battered John Deere tractor in comparison. “I want my life back, Mr. Frederick. I want to be able to move the way I used to. I want to pass the department physical so I can go back on patrol. I want to be able to walk without needing a crutch or a cane. I want to be the way I was before I got hurt.” I was asking for the impossible and I knew it. “And please call me Dom.” He dipped his chin down a little, and the edge of his mouth tilted up in a slight grin. Damn the man was good-looking. I blew out a breath and lifted up my hands to run them over the top of my shorn hair. I was hanging on to my sanity by a thread and my unexpected reaction to the guy that I was hanging every hope I had left on wasn’t helping matters. “All right, Dom. You can call me Lando. That’s what my friends call me.” I felt one of my eyebrows shoot up. “Are we going to be friends?”

Don’t miss a Sneak Peek of BUILT, the first full-length novel in the Saints of Denver Series, in the back of LEVELED!

About LEVELED: We all need a hero...let the Saints of Denver begin. Orlando Frederick knows what it is to be leveled by pain. Instead of focusing on his own, he’s made it his mission to help others: sports stars, wounded war vets, survivors of all kinds. But when Dom, a rugged, damaged, sinfully attractive cop makes his way into Lando’s physical therapy practice, he might be the biggest challenge yet. Lando loved one stubborn man before and barely survived the fallout. He’s not sure if he can do it again. Dominic Voss is a protector. The police badge he wears is not only his job, it’s his identity, so when he’s sidelined because of an injury, the only thing he cares about is getting back on the force. He expects Lando to mend his body, he just doesn’t realize the trainer will also have him working towards a hell of a lot more. As attraction simmers and flares, Dom sees that Lando needs repair of his own...if only the man will let him close enough to mend what's broken.   Leveled - RDL Teaser 2   Jay CrownoverAbout Jay Crownover: Jay Crownover is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men and The Point series.
