Synopsis:
Four years ago, Jocelyn Butler left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Edinburgh. Burying the grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without any real attachments has worked well for her so far but when Joss moves into a fantastic apartment on Dublin Street, her carefully guarded world is shaken to its core by her new roommate's sexy older brother.

Braden Carmichael is a man who always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Jocelyn in his bed. Knowing how skittish Joss is concerning any kind of relationship, Braden proposes a sexual arrangement that should satisfy the intense attraction between them without it developing into anything 'more'. An intrigued Jocelyn agrees, completely unprepared for the Scotsman and his single-minded determination to strip the stubborn young woman bare... to the very soul.

Review:
This is Samantha Young's debut into adult fiction and what a wonderful debut it is. This book had me from the start. Our heroine, Joss, is messed up. She had some horrible things happen to her in her teen years and the girl is damaged and I loved that. Lately all the books I have been reading have our hero with the tortured past and demons, so this I thought was a pleasant change. Joss keeps her feelings inside and does not want any kind of relationship/friendship with anyone, it just brings pain. In comes one very sweet new roommate and her sexy brother, Braden.(everytime he talked, I kept hearing Kevin McKidd talking, I am a sucker for an accent.) Braden is amazing, witty and he knows he wants Joss. I enjoyed these two banter back and forth, I could feel the chemistry between the two. Joss is stubborn & broken but Braden had a lot of patience and knew Joss was worth all the trouble even if she didn't believe it herself. Watching Joss work on her issues and how Braden was there, just a really great read.  This was a great book and I do hope that Samantha Young continues writing some adult fiction and now I am going to have to go look for some of her young adult novels.

On GoodReads there is a contest to win a signed copy of the book, it runs until October 8,2012. Go here to enter.
