Lately I've been staying away from heavier novels and keeping my reading on the lighter escapism side. However, when I was approached by this author to be part of her book release and blog tour, I read the blurb and was drawn to it. I knew it was going to be emotional, but I didn't know just how intense those feelings would be and how invested I'd become in the lives of these characters. So invested that I found it difficult to read some because I hurt along with their hurt, but the story was just so compelling, I had to keep going. This is one of those books that will stay with you long after you've read the last sentence. A stunning and emotionally gripping debut from Trudy Stiles.
Dear Emily: 4.5/5 stars
