Synopsis:
Tori Archer is married…well, on paper anyway. She hasn’t actually seen her husband since the disastrous morning after their impulsive Vegas wedding. The memories of their intense passion may still make her weak in the knees, but Tori knows their marriage was a mistake.
After six months filming abroad, television producer Sean Hennessy wants nothing more than to track down his sexy, captivating wife and get her into bed… fast. So when his boss sends him to Oregon to persuade the famous Archer sextuplets—the former stars of a reality TV show—to do a reunion special, Sean sees the perfect chance to win Tori back.
Only, Tori wants nothing to do with him and is determined to push him away. But their attraction is as hot as ever and Sean will do anything to prove their relationship was more than just a fling…because he knows that when real love happens, it changes everything.
Laura's Review:
This is one of those romance novels that isn't really great, nor is it really bad, it just is. It's great as a distraction for a couple days when you need something to read. Sure, it had a little bit of something different in dealing with the topic of suicide (which I thought was handled very well), but it was missing something that I couldn't quite place my finger on. In fact, I had to almost force myself to finish because I stopped a few times and didn't really feel implored to go back. I liked Sean a lot, and felt like his patience was above and beyond what 99% of people would have in this situation when dealing with Tori, who was unlikable for most of the book. I didn't feel their chemistry, even when they were together, but for Sean's sake I was rooting for them to work out their problems. Perhaps if we were introduced to their love when it started in a good place, I might have felt it more. I did enjoy the ending when everyone finally stood up for themselves and things got a little more interesting.
Overall, it was good, but forgettable.
When Love Happens: 3/5 stars
