About BUILT: From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series,Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about.
Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel. Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior. But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.
Tanya's Review:
A new series by Jay Crownover? That is what the cover shall look like? The first book shall be about the hot as hell construction friend that helped the Marked Men redo their tattoo parlor? Hell yes I wanna read this book. I can not express how excited I was when I heard about this new series by Jay. Ever since Zebulon Fuller, Mr. Fixit, walked into the bar and saw Sayer Cole back in her Marked Men series I really wanted his story and Jay absolutely delivers and it was worth the wait.
Zeb is a giant with heart of absolute pure gold and will do anything for his family, and he has. Sayer grew up in a very uncaring cold house, complete opposite of Zeb and she is just discovering what its like to be a friend and have family. These two are polar opposites, have an amazing chemistry and just connect. Zeb knows what he wants and it is Sayer. Sayer on the other hand really is unsure of herself and needs to as Elsa the ice queen herself would say, just Let It Go.
I don't want to spoil anything but after reading this story you all may want to repaint some rooms. Jay has written another really great story and I think that Zebulon Fuller might have finally knocked Rule Archer off the top of my list as my favorite book boyfriend that she has written.
Built is the first in the spin off series from Marked Men, it can definitely be read as a stand alone. If you have read any of Jay's other books you definitely will enjoy this book and if you have not read any of her books, where have you been? But seriously if you have not read any of her other books this one is a great book to start with, it has a hot as hell tattooed, muscled, bearded dude and a heroine that is flawed but grows and its fun.
Built: 4.5 / 5 Stars
Laura's Review:
As Tanya not-so-subtly mentioned, Jay Crownover can do no wrong. This is just another example of how she just nails it (pun intended) time and time again. She takes flawed, f*'d up characters, and manages to not only make them incredibly sexy, but huggable at the same time. Zebulon might not think he's good enough for Sayer, but I can think of no one more perfect. They are opposite pieces of a puzzle that fit together perfectly. A bit less edgy and slightly more mainstream than Ms. Crownover's fans might be expecting, but sure to be a crowd-pleaser for old and new fans alike.
4/5 stars.
Thank you so much! ~Jessica, InkSlinger PR
