Laura's Review:
I went into this book blind - I hadn't read the previous two books in the series, and I've never read anything by Ms. Gray - but, the synopsis grabbed my attention and I knew I wanted to read this book from that moment. And my instinct was right - I loved it!
Cole is dark and haunted by past demons - harder on himself than anyone else could be. I so wanted to be able to hug him - and so glad he was able to move past some of what he was holding back. Piper was the perfect balance to him - fun, light, slightly immature - but her transformation here was wonderful to watch.
The plotline was a little predictable, but interesting enough to keep me reading.
And after seeing the family and friend group dynamic that Ms. Gray has created, I definitely will be going back to read the first two books - and anything else she has to offer in the future!
