Dual Review: Felony Ever After

Summary:

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.
Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss?

No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

Tanya's Review:
Fast paced and fun are probably the 2 words that best describe this read. When I heard about this book, 13 authors writing one book, not an anthology but same continuous story I was intrigued, then when I saw the list of authors, I knew it was gonna be a book that I had to experience.
The fact that there were so many authors worked and in some ways it didn't. I honestly can say I could  not predict where the story was going, which is one of the things I loved about this book. Each author wrote  a chapter or two (and each chapter was clearly labeled so the reader could tell which author wrote it) and they got to take it in whatever direction they wanted. It was fun to experience a little of each writer in this story but at the same time I felt like some of it didn't run smoothly together as it might have if only 1 or 2 people wrote the story.
Story had a good mix of mystery , funny & sexy and had me guessing and grinning all throughout the book.
I truly enjoyed the tweets at the end of each chapter, made me just love these 2 characters all the more.

This book is a fun, fast paced read and would recommend it to any romance reader that likes to giggle and is looking for a white knight with tattoos.

Felony Ever After:   3/5 stars

Laura's Review:
This book was so much fun to read!  Like a crazy party game, you definitely didn't know what to expect from one page to the next. It's sexy, it's sweet, it's romantic, it's hilariously funny, and even a bit shocking. Okay, way more than a bit shocking... It is definitely not easy to surprise me, but this one succeeded in making my jaw drop.  It was just a bit disjointed at times from the author hopping, but the editors/authors did a very admirable job keeping the story flowing and easy to read.  I can't wait to see what these ladies think up next!

Felony Ever After: 4/5 stars
