Laura's Review:
This was the first book by Cecy Robinson I've read - so obviously I didn't read book one in this series, but Ms. Robinson does a great job providing just enough backstory so I didn't feel lost, but not bogged down with other peoples' pasts. Which is good, because Finn and Sol have quite the baggage to bog themselves down all on their own.
Their romance started off as sweet and easy flirtation and quickly grew into something way more intense that neither one really knew how to handle. The darkness from their past (and present) overshadows them throughout much of the book, and I wished we got to see a little more of the light moments that were so fun to read.
Overall, a romance novel that went way beyond a simple romance and pulled you right along through the somewhat dark, but hopeful ride.
